Community CPR Event
Each year Local 4759 donates an automated external defibrillator (AED) to a local business to help strengthen lifesaving readiness in our community.
Last year’s recipient from the City of La Mesa was Helix Brewing Company.
After presenting the AED in January, we partnered with American Medical Response to take the next step – hosting a free community hands only CPR education event. While this class will not provide a certification, anyone can perform compressions and compressions are without question the most important component of cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
So join us to learn hands only CPR, get familiar with operating an AED, and take part in other community activities throughout the day.
