Support Josh & Charley’s Health Journey
To our La Mesa Community,
The Royer Family is facing two significant medical challenges, and we’re reaching out for your steadfast prayers and support.
Josh, a 17-year Engineer/Paramedic with Heartland Fire and Rescue in San Diego County, and also works as a real estate agent. He’s a devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. Josh is married to his junior high sweetheart, Lexi – the heart and backbone of their family.
Their son, Charley (5), was born with spina bifida but defies the odds every day, living as an active, happy, and compassionate boy. Their youngest, baby Shay (1), is full of personality, smiles, and is Charley’s best friend.
Recently, Josh received devastating news: he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Squamous Cell Carcinoma in his vocal cords and surrounding tissues. While exploring multiple treatment options, Josh will be initially fighting this battle holistically, including a significant and costly change in diet, along with extensive vitamin and IV treatments not covered by insurance. This journey will be financially burdensome, and we aim to lessen that burden for the Royers, providing access to resources for quick action and treatment while Josh battles cancer again.
Simultaneously, Charley requires surgery for his extremity pains from specialty doctors in Texas and Florida in the coming months. Donations will assist the Royers with travel, food, and accommodations during their cross-country journeys.
Despite these challenges, the Royer Family remains strong, determined, and full of love for each other. Let’s come together to lift Josh, Lexi, Charley, and Shay with our prayers and support.
If you feel moved to do so we encourage you to donate. Thank you for your generosity!
